WHAT IS HURTING YOU … ?
We, humans, do more than live, laugh, and love. We are bounded by a lot of positive and negatives aspects, and in those aspects, we feel many things. Sometimes happy, sometimes sad, sometimes angry and sometimes hurts. “Hurting’’ this word is so familiar for a single person, Even they how it works they won’t get the way out of it. Actually, not everyone understands what is exactly hurting them. So in this blog, I am going to cover discovering the reasons for getting hurt.
We, humans, are a very intelligent species and have so many special powers that other species don’t. But the most special thing about humans is we can create memories and imaginations. This is the thing that hurts people.
Take an example here.. Like there is a woman who got cheated by her husband/boyfriend, because of this she is stuck and it is kind of hard for her to move on, so she is hurting herself again and again. Let me here explain a thing, she is hurting herself because of her memories and imagination. She cants even move on because of it. Let be more clearer by looking at the memories effect and imagination effect.
What do memories do to you?
Memories are very special to everyone and it is our gift that we can store for as long as we want. When anything happens it does affect us according to the nature of the moment and works according to the situations. Either the memories are good or bad, they affect us according to the current situation. Like if you are so upset about something. which you lost recently then it’s every damn memory gonna hunt you for the rest of your life, doesn’t matter if it good memories or bad. Whatever happened in past is memories and you let those memories deal with you like however, it wants to.
You lose somebody or something then what do you do is memorize those times you’ve had with them which is obviously hurtable, then you hurt yourself and when you will realize that whatever you are doing is not healthy you would be already in that loop of memorizing memory- hurting cycle, there you find yourself stuck.
Life is not so easy and stucking in this loop not going to help you create new memories. Clear your head, either it is good memories or bad just move on from them even if you still have the person or thing whose memory you have stored. You just need enough clear space to fit new memories for your coming life.
What do imaginations do?
We have seen what does our memories do, now it’s time to understand what does imaginations do. After clearing our minds from memories we start to assume things that are not even near to about to happen. But we still put ourselves at every possible challenge in our imaginations. sometimes we got ourselves out from the assumed problem but sometimes we don’t, this is exactly where we start hurting ourselves. When we find no way out from our imaginary problems we start thinking about them which turns out overthinking over the non-real thing. It causes you stress, frustrations, and mostly worriedness. Memories cycle is something that we know what is going on because we have passed that time but in imagining the future. We harm ourselves more than memorizing old memories could do to us. It is better to live in present.
Memories you have been through were real, but imaginations are nothing really. Sometimes it will work according to your plan but sometimes it won’t. People are stuck in phases, in memories, and in imaginations. Which cause you to overthink, even things won’t be worth a second of your time, but still, people do.
We need to understand why are we wasting our time thinking of things that are not even real or in the meantime.
We are living in the present so we should be in present. There is no need to be in the future already. It can and will destroy your current planning which you must have to in present, right now. We need to understand what is worth our time, our honesty and hard works, or overthinking for things that don’t exist in present. Similarly, We must understand that life is very short to get stuck in memories or in imaginations. We need to get out of our such kind of thought. What is hurting you, is you. Because if you let old memories go you will get enough space to think peacefully of your betterment. If you don’t let your mind imagine things from your future then every next moment will be a pleasant surprise for you. You just need to think wisely and clearly.
We need to know that we control our thought, not our thoughts control us. Our mind is a vehicle. Sometimes it got a load of memories and imaginations, but you the driver know exactly where and when to leave all those loads behind and free our mind to enjoy the journey and to gather new memories, not to keep for a long time. Just for enough time so we could have something which keeps us moving forward and when you achieve that destination. You left those memories again behind to create more and more. Similarly, You should get stuck with this kind of journey which keeps you gather enough memories to move forward and while moving you empty your loads to gather more.
We must not misuse our two great power imagining and storing memories against us. We have to understand and process wisely.
